Training the Trainer

1st & 15th October 2008

Volunteer Development Scotland will deliver a two day Training the Trainers programme for practitioners working with and managing volunteers and volunteering at Stirling on 1st & 15th October 2008.

By attending you will enhance your skills in the planning, delivering, facilitating and evaluation of learning whislt exploring presenting skills and learning theory. 

This two day programme will develop and raise the skills and competencies of participants who are or who will be developing a role in the training and learning of volunteering programmes. It has been developed with alignment the skills frameworks and national quality standards for the management of volunteering.

This is a highly participative learning opportunity where individuals will be supported to develop their skills through practical activities with both group and individual activities. Participants explore the role of trainers and facilitators in learning, investigate tools and methods that can be used in the development of learning and training programmes and  be supported to prepare and deliver short training / learning sessions to peer participants. This will provide the added benefit of using skills and understanding of  learning within a supportive group.

Aim: To develop and raise the skills and competencies of participants to plan, prepare, deliver and evaluate training and learning opportunities within an organisation setting.  

Cost:   VDS members £180.00

             Non memebrs £200.00
