Recognising and Celebrating

Recognising and Celebrating

Support, recognise and celebrate the contribution of your young volunteers or they might go elsewhere!  Here are some ideas on how you can do it:

In partnership with the Volunteer Centre Network Scotland, we promote the MV Awards programme which recognises the contribution made by 16-25 year-old volunteers by way of a certificate for 50, 100 and 200 hours of volunteering. For more information and to sign up contact your local Volunteer Centre: Volunteer Centre Map

Recently, we have gone high-tech and you can register online via the MV Volunteering Passport. For more information about this Contact Us

This is for young people who would benefit from accreditation for volunteering through informal learning. The award promotes key life skills including planning, communicating, teamwork, reflecting and leading.

If you are a youth involving organisation and would like to find out more about this Contact Us.

The Scottish Qualifications Authority recently announced that the Youth Achievement Awards, which are licensed in Scotland through Youth Scotland, has gained credit rating and leveling against the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework. The SCQF credit rating and leveling of the Youth Achievement Awards now means that young people will be able to directly map their achievements in youth work against school based qualifications, SVQs and Higher Education qualifications. The Youth Achievement Awards credit rating and leveling is:

Bronze Youth Achievement Award - SCQF level 4 with 7 SCQF credit points (Comparable to a General Standard Grade)
Silver Youth Achievement Award - SCQF level 5 with 11 SCQF credit points (Comparable to a Credit Standard Grade)
Gold Youth Achievement Award - SCQF level 6 with 14 SCQF credit points (Comparable to a Higher)
Platinum Youth Achievement Award - SCQF level 7 with 16 SCQF credit points (Comparable to an Advanced Higher)
