Becoming a member of Volunteer Development Scotland means you will be playing your part in the development and modernisation of volunteering across Scotland. Membership offers a wide range of entitlements and benefits, for you and your organisation, which will enable you to deliver excellence in volunteer development and management. Membership - Cost and Criteria

Volunteer Development Scotland

Membership of Volunteer Development Scotland is available to a wide range of organisations and individuals. Our fees are set on a sliding scale according to organisation’s annual turnover to ensure that membership is accessible to everyone.

Full Membership

£25.00 (Annual turnover of less than £30K)
£80.00 (Annual turnover of more than £30K)

The following organisations are eligible to apply for full membership and will have access to all members’ benefits and will be able to nominate and vote in Board elections; All voluntary, public, private and social economy organisations, organisations which involve volunteers, organisations which fully support the aims of Volunteer Development Scotland.

Individual Membership

£25.00

All individuals who have involvement with volunteers and/or fully support the aims of Volunteer Development Scotland are eligible to apply for individual membership and will have access to all member's benefits and be able to nominate and vote in Board elections.

Branch Membership

£25.00

All voluntary, public, private and social economy organisations with more than one premises or branches may be interested in making the benefits of membership available to local branches by registering them as branch members.

As Scotland's Centre for Excellence in volunteer development, Volunteer Development Scotland provides a central point of contact for all volunteering matters, encouraging and supporting best practice. The Central Registered Body in Scotland provides the essential service of free Disclosures (police checks) to volunteers in the voluntary sector. With leading research, Volunteer Development Scotland contributes vital input which affects strategy and policy at the highest level. We also works in partnership with the Volunteer Centre Network in Scotland and with a wide range of organisations across all sectors.
