There are a numbers of ways in which the Strategy is being taken forward. The Scottish Government has established a National Group to help provide national leadership for the implementation and on going development of the Refreshed Strategy. The National Group is chaired by Pat Dawson, Associate Nurse Director, NHS Lothian.

Volunteer Development Scotland meets regularly with the Scottish Government Healthcare Policy and Strategy Directorate to discuss the progress made on implementing the Refreshed Strategy.
