The UK Volunteering Forum brings together the national volunteering development agencies (please see below) of the four countries in the UK. 
Volunteering England is an independent voluntary agency committed to supporting, enabling and celebrating volunteering in all its diversity, linking research, policy innovation, good practice and grant making in the involvement of volunteers.
The Institute for Volunteering Research (IVR) aims to develop knowledge and understanding of volunteering in a way that is relevant to practitioners and policy makers. This site provides an overview of our work as well as detailed summaries of research that we have undertaken
V

V is an independent charity championing youth volunteering in England. Their aim is to inspire a million more 16–25 year olds to volunteer and enable a lasting change in the quality, quantity and diversity of youth volunteering. V delivers the MV Awards programme in England.
The Volunteer Development Agency’s mission is 'strengthening communities through the promotion and development of volunteering'.  The Agency provides training, help and advice and publications on volunteering, volunteer management, child protection and voluntary management committees. The Agency also administers several grant programmes on behalf of the Department for Social Development (Community Volunteering Scheme and Volunteer Bureaux Initiative) and the Department of Education (Millennium Volunteers). These funding programmes relate to the promotion, support and increase in participation in volunteering. The Agency delivers the MV Awards programme in Northern Ireland.
Wales Council for Voluntary Action is the voice of the voluntary sector in Wales, representing and campaign for voluntary organisations, volunteers and communities. The Council delivers the MV Awards progamme in Wales.
Department for Work and Pensions

The Department for Work and Pensions supported the Volunteering Options Project between April 2009 and November 2010 which Volunteer Development Scotland delivered in partnership with local volunteering agencies across Scotland signposting over 300 individuals who had been on Jobseekers Allowance for over 6 months to volunteering.

Volunteer Development Scotland is continuing to work with DWP to identify how volunteering can contribute to the new Work Programe which is due to start in 2011.
